How to analyze categorical outcome, with two categorical predictors, and a continuous covariate?

I have a dataset and the variables are

• AGE2015: Covariate, continuous, indicates child’s age as of December 31, 2015,

• HAPRETRD: Outcome, Dichotomous, indicates whether the child ever reads or pretends to read storybooks on his or her own. 1 is Yes, 0 is No, -1 is missing value.

• CPTYPE: Predictor, categorical, indicates whether the program is a day care, preschool, or prekindergarten. 1 is day care, 2 is preschool, 3 is prekindergarten, and -1 is missing value.

• CSEX: Predictor, categorical, indicates child’s sex. 1 is male and 0 is female.

I know I need to use the logistic regression to apply. However, do I need to change the predictors into dummy variables? How do I control for the covariate simultaneously?

Do anyone have some hints about the steps and suggestions that I can analyze based on the variables that I have? Thank you!
