For my statistics analysis, I try to understand the variables that influence collaboration of Europese universities with china. At this point in time, de DV = Chinese publications/total publications of the university. As IV, representation of Chinese studies and/or Chinese exchange, both binary. The control variables are the size of the university (absolute publications) and the immigration of Chinese in the country (%chinese immigrants / total population). Because the DV is proportional, are we still able to do a count model, Poisson or NB. Maybe there is another model that is better suited? I would like to hear you guys opinion on it!
PS. The data will be analyzed using R/Rstudio
